History:
Birchandrapur class XII school is situated at road side in rural area in vast plain village covered with a mid plentiful of greeneries. It is almost 55 KMs away from the capital Agartala and about 7 KMs from Khowai town. There are many tourist spot covered by the town like Banabithi, Jangal Mahal & Dumla Waterfall . One can reach here via Sidhai mohanpur –Kalachhara –Padmabil –Hatkata Road, Teliamura Khowai, crossing the Khowai River.
The school was established by a few visionary people in the year 1966 with a view to spread the light of education among the local Tribals and Non-Tribals. The School up-graded Senior Basic to High School in the year 1982-83 and High to Higher Secondary School in the year 1989-90. After crossing so many steps the School has reached its present state and in main center of literacy and education for the students of its surrounding area spreading over more then 25 Sq. K.M.S

The students had achieved various prizes like Bronze Madel , Silver Madel in state level and national level in sports and games.
